The toilet of the future! The invention of a young man from Romania, for which companies from Poland and Australia are fighting

The start-up ARIDA CULTUS is the first ecological project in Romania that will bring to the market a modern ecological dry toilet, intended for events, but also for personal use.

The toilet uses sawdust as a loading agent, has a mechanized operating system and an ultramodern design, and the initiator of the project is Teodor Gomboș, a young man from Oradea, concerned with environmental issues.

And as wastewater treatment plants represent one of the most polluting industries in the world, Teodor looked for an alternative to classic toilets.

He invented the dry toilet, which can save up to 25,000 l of water/year and which works on the basis of sawdust.

“However, the Arida Cultus dry toilet has other advantages in addition to those of any other dry toilet. The design, made by Vasilatos Ianis, starts from the classic model of the ecological toilet to which technical improvements have been made, as well as image improvements. Thus, the Arida Cultus toilet has motion sensors, an automatic system that releases sawdust from the tank after each use of the toilet, and an ultramodern design. The intense color, the roof that allows natural light to penetrate, but also the LED strips placed both inside and outside, give the toilet a futuristic and attractive air”, says Teodor Gombos.

The prototype has already been manufactured and the first photos of the Arida Cultus dry toilet have been posted on the start-up’s Social Media pages, along with information about how the toilet works and the concept behind the product.

Also, the first large series of the toilet are already in production.

The dry toilet can be rented for events, festivals, Christmas fairs or construction sites, like any other ecological toilet, but it can also be bought.

The price of such a toilet is 4,200 euros, and several companies from Poland and Australia have shown interest in the Oradean’s innovation.

For whichever option is chosen, the manufacturing company ensures the maintenance, waste collection and constant supervision of the product.
